Spring of Water International Ministries is a non-profit Christian organization (501(c)(3)) formed in December 2009 by a group of dedicated Christians, called by the Lord Jesus Christ, to carry out the evangelical mission of preaching the gospel to the world.

The name “Spring of Water” comes from John 4:14, where Jesus answered a Samaritan woman at the well by saying, “Whoever drinks the water I give will never be thirsty. The water I give will become a spring of water gushing up inside that person giving eternal life.”

Our mission is to preach the salvation of Jesus Christ and the truths in the Bible through multimedia Bible study materials so that many people can drink of this water; water that will become a spring of water flowing from within them giving them eternal life.

Our Bible study materials are like the seeds of God’s Words and Jesus’ salvation. The members of the mission teams who use such video products are like the sowers. The sowers work hard planting seeds in the mission field, but it is God who will make the seeds sprout and grow and eventually produce grain. When the grain is ready, it will be a time of joyful harvest in the kingdom of God. Our ministry is to be the sower to plant the seeds of gospel in people’s hearts. Therefore, we chose “Spring of Water” as the name of our organization not only for its meaning in John 4:14 quoted above, but also for its acronym “SOW”. The Chinese name of our organization, 播種國際事工, can literally be translated as “Plant Seeds International Ministries”, or “SOW International Ministries”.
